Itty Bitty Book Club: the zoo

Thursday, February 22, 9:30-10:30 - REGISTRATION CLOSES ON WED, FEB 15 (because books must be ordered in advance)
  • Biggby Coffee at 660 Chicago Drive (Chicago and 120th/Waverly). The room is past the coffee bar and bathrooms, then to the left. There is a dedicated parking lot in front of the building for families to use + street parking in the area.

Format: board book with tabs for easy page turning
​Great for: infants, toddlers, preschoolers


Early Winter Session in Grand Rapids:
​The fall session of the Fun Foundations Class in Grand Rapids will run January 17-March 7 (8 weeks)
  • Day/Time: Wednesdays
    • Little Talkers (children approx ages 15-30 months): 9:30-10:30
    • CANCELED: Little High 5'ers (children approx ages 6-14 months): 10:45-11:45
  • Dates: 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/23, 2/28, 3/7
  • Location: Renew Mama Studio at 5161 Northland Dr NE in Grand Rapids​​. There is a large, dedicated parking lot in front of the building.
  • Cost: $125 for 8-week class. Includes class attendance for 1 child and 1-2 adults.
    • ​$60 for an additional child age 3 years or under (when attending the class with another child that has paid the full registration cost and the SAME adult). If you have an older child you would like to bring to the class, please contact Emily to determine if this is an appropriate fit.

    If you are enrolling more than 1 child in the same class, please 1) fill out this form for Child 1, click "continue" to add your desired class to your cart then 2) navigate back to this page to add Child 2, click "continue" then select "Add 2nd Child to Class."

    Enrollment policies

    Thank you for joining us for the High 5 Itty Bitty Book Club! I am confident that you will find the research-driven information and child-driven activities foundational in supporting your child’s development!
            
    In an effort to create a rich learning environment and to provide families with the best programming possible, please note the following policies:

    High 5 Communication Resources DOES NOT OFFER MAKE-UP CLASSES.  If you register for this book club meeting and are unable to attend, arrangements can be made for you to receive your book and materials on another date. Please contact Emily to inquire about this if need be. No refunds will be given.
            
    Withdrawal Requests
    All classes run based on meeting minimum enrollment requirements (at least 4 families enrolled within 1 week of scheduled meeting).  If the minimum is not met, enrolled families will be contacted and refunded in full for registration fees.

    No refunds are given for Itty Bitty Book Club meetings, but if circumstances change and you are unable to join us after you have RSVP'ed for a meeting, arrangements can be made with Emily for you to receive your book and supplemental materials at another time.
            
    Inclement Weather
    • Emily makes decisions regarding weather-related cancelations after checking with decisions made by area public schools (Hamilton, Saugutuck, Holland, Zeeland, Grand Rapids).  If area schools are closed due to weather, High 5 will likely not be running classes/workshops/meetings that day.  In the event of late openings due to weather, High 5 will use discretion in canceling classes and will contact participants in the event a class needs to be canceled with as much notification as possible, but no later than 8:30am on the day of the class. Participants will be contacted via the method chosen during registration.
    • Classes that are canceled due to inclement weather may be made up in another class.  Please inquire with your class instructor for additional details in this occurrence.
            
    Siblings & Additional Adults:
    • We allow up to two (2) adults to attend per family. Additional adults may participate for an additional fee, space permitting. Please check with Emily to determine if space permits.
    • Children 5 years and under are considered to be within the target age range for Itty Bitty Book Club meetings.  We offer a discounted registration rate of $8 for any additional participating child who is under the age of 5 years.  Please make sure you complete separate registration forms for BOTH children on the class registration page, then select “Bring Additional Child to Book Club” for all additional children before continuing on to checkout.
            
    Liability Waiver:
    By registering for a class with High 5 Communication Resources, the parent and/or guardian agrees to:
    • Release High 5 Communication Resources, its owners, employees, instructors, volunteers and staff from all liability for injury to his/her child from his/her child’s participation in the class.
    • Allow High 5 Communication Resources to use class photographs and/or videos for promotional and teacher education purposes without compensation to his/her child or his/herself.
