My son began working with Emily after he was identified with a language delay at about 18 months. Over the next year and a half she worked with him every week, tirelessly encouraging him to speak and teaching him how to do so. He was quite resistant at times but she never lost her patience or resolve. She met him where he was at and helped him build his skills from there.
What stood out, though, was not just her work with my son - it was her work with our family. Emily included all of us: parents, grandparents, and even friends in his therapy. She taught us how to keep working with him and encouraged us when progress was slow. She always listened and alleviated my concerns, over and over again. We were very sad when we could no longer see Emily but the work she did with my son and our family continues to influence. My younger son also has a language delay and is receiving services. I find I often use the skills Emily taught us even with new therapists. Her work was invaluable and I am so grateful for it. Emily, we've had 4 other therapists between the two boys and you were by far the best!! |

Emily has been working with us and my two year old son for several months. We initially reached out because our son was not using many words for his age. He is great at communicating in many forms but he has a slight verbal delay.
She has been great to work with and our son loves going to his “play” sessions. We really appreciate her patience and knowledge. You can tell she enjoys what she does and truly cares. Her recommendations have helped us ensure we are using the best approach at home to help our son develop his speech. These sessions have been helpful for both my son and me as a mom. We have seen improvement in his speech and he says many more words now. |

Emily is amazing!! Words cannot express how thankful we are that she came into our life to help our son. When she first started my son had very little vocabulary, he had hearing issues. Today, he is a normal 5 year old, he's right where he should be and I credit a ton of that to her. She not only was an angel to him, but she provided much needed support to me during this hard time. She definitely goes that extra mile!! I definitely give High Five Speech Therapy 5 stars!! (It'd be 100 stars if allowed!)

When we were concerned about our son's language development, Emily was the first person we turned to after having attended her classes at The Village. Her work with our son was extraordinary. During each session, Emily would explain the purpose of the activities so we understood what was happening and how it related to language development. Everything is play-based, so the time spent with Emily was fun and something our son looked forward to every week. She gave us action items to work on at home and they were simple to incorporate into our family's routine. Without hesitation, I recommend working with Emily for any language concerns you may have for your child.
Keep going, keep working at it! Sometimes progress feels slow, or even nonexistent, but everything you're doing adds up. We went months with what felt like zero progress, but once our son's language exploded we could finally see (or hear!) everything we had been working on, all those foundational skills that Emily had been building for months. Hold steady, stay consistent, and it will come! |

Emily is a pro. She is a great speech therapist who knows the right tricks to get my son to say words. Emily has a great attention to detail and provides constructive notes to parents after each session. Since most of the "therapy" begins at home, these notes are a great roadmap for the week between sessions.

Both of my boys (2 & 4) have been working with Ms. Emily since last November. I am amazed by the progress both boys have made. One son is about to transition out of therapy which is incredible. A year ago he was not talking or making sounds.
For my other son, his speech was very difficult to understand. However, now I can understand most of what he is saying which is amazing. This is all because of Emily and the hard work my boys have done. Emily's ability to cater to each child is impressive. She is aware of their level, needs, and what they are interested in. One of my sons was obsessed with pirates and she found ways to include pirates into the speech activities. She communicates with the parents and has great advice and tips on how to help your child at home. Ms. Emily is fun, patient, and kind. I highly recommend Emily! |

Emily is absolutely amazing! She is very knowledgeable, caring and professional! My son has made tremendous progress in his therapy and truly loves being there and looks forward to his sessions with Emily.
She has a way of making it fun and interactive for the child while still working on obtaining their speech goals. Emily is wonderful at communicating with parents and always keeping them informed and involved with their child’s goals! We are so blessed to have Emily involved in our son's therapy and we highly recommend her!! |

Our daughter was having trouble with her r, ch, sh and th sounds and Emily worked with Vittoria in a fun, loving way. Vittoria was always looking forward to her appointment with Ms. Emily. Every week she would bring some new speech games to play and we started seeing improvements rather quickly. Ms. Emily is a loving, very professional therapist with a real passion for her job.
We highly recommend High 5 Speech Therapy. |

Emily was TJ's speech therapist for about three years and we so enjoyed her! Her style was firm but fun in a synergistic blend to propel TJ forward in his learning and speech articulation. Emily was also encouraging as a listening ear to the different challenges that we came upon during his development. In many ways, she was a sounding board to produce more ideas to help TJ. We highly recommend Emily for anyone looking to help their child!

As a case manager for families dealing with a child's developmental delay, Emily was always my front-line choice when called to locate a speech pathologist. She was not only easy to work with in terms of flexibility, punctuality, and straight-forward timely paperwork; but always provided families with the very best services. Emily treated her clients with respect, compassion, and a great sense of fun, bringing her vast knowledge and skill-set to create relationships that encouraged a rich learning environment for kiddos, their families, and team members.
In my experience, no matter the family circumstance, Emily offered thoughtful insight coupled with specific and meaningful interventions that proved to be supportive for parents and highly beneficial for little ones to reach their highest potential. In our community, Emily was the consummate professional that set the bar for all other providers. She was and continues to be 5 stars in every way! |
